Project: Implementation of Finacle e-Banking, Mobile Banking and Alerts Solutions


The client wanted to implement a solution in Nigeria for Internet banking, mobile banking and alerts requiring the migration of the Nigerian Internet banking customers from the old Internet banking platform to the new one in a manner that minimised business disruption and inconvenience to customers’ Internet banking activities. Also, the implementation was part of the bank’s broader strategic objective to adopt the Finacle product suite as the core banking platform for the Bank and its affiliates within Africa.


Our Approach/ What Infoworks did
Infoworks was engaged to provide project management assistance for the development, delivery and implementation of the Finacle suite of electronic banking applications. Through application of best-practice project management principles and methodology, Infoworks assisted Stanbic IBTC to successfully deliver not only on the objectives of the project but also on the business objectives of the project.


The Result
Infoworks successfully delivered the project on time, within budget, and to the Bank’s expectations including seamless and complete migration of the planned number of customers and accounts, efficient management of post go-live issues and effective customer support.


Additionally, there was improved turnaround time for registration of new customers and increased customer service experience occasioned by the redesign of the underlying business processes. Post-implementation feedback, received from customers, indicated that customers appreciated the change approach and communications method used in managing them to accept the new Internet Banking platform.
